SEO & AI Search

Get found in search — and in AI answers

People still search on Google. Increasingly they also ask an AI assistant. We work on both: the technical foundations that let a site rank, and the clarity and structure that let it be understood and cited when an AI writes the answer.

The foundations

Search visibility, done in the right order

None of the newer AI-search work matters if the basics underneath it are broken. We start here.

Technical SEO

  • Crawlability and indexation — making sure pages can be found and are allowed to rank.
  • Site speed and Core Web Vitals.
  • Canonicals, duplicate content and parameter handling.
  • Redirects and broken links.
  • Mobile rendering.

On-page SEO

  • Page titles and meta descriptions written for people, not just crawlers.
  • Heading structure that reflects the actual content.
  • Internal linking that spreads authority where you want it.
  • Image handling and alt text.
  • Pages matched to what the searcher is actually trying to do.

Local SEO

  • Google Business Profile set up and kept consistent.
  • Location pages that are genuinely useful rather than duplicated.
  • Consistent name, address and contact details across listings.
  • Local structured data.

Content structure

  • Grouping topics so related pages support each other.
  • One page per intent, so your own pages stop competing.
  • Finding gaps worth writing for — and ones that are not.
  • A structure that still makes sense after fifty more pages.

AI search

Being visible when the answer is written by an AI

More people now start with a question in an AI assistant instead of a list of blue links. Those systems read the open web, decide which sources they trust, and write a single answer — sometimes naming the businesses they drew it from.

Whether your business turns up in that answer depends on much the same things as ranking well: content that is clear, specific, accurate and easy to attribute to you. The industry term for working on this is Generative Engine Optimization, usually shortened to GEO. Together with traditional search work, it is what we mean by SEO / GEO.

It is not a separate product and we do not sell it as one. It is the same discipline extended to a newer kind of reader.

What that work involves

  • Answering real questions directly and early on the page, rather than burying the answer.
  • Structured data where it genuinely applies, so machines can read what a page is about.
  • Consistent information about who you are, where you are and what you do, across your site and the listings that reference it.
  • Specific, checkable content instead of vague marketing copy — the kind of writing a system can safely quote.
  • Clear authorship, dates and sourcing so a page reads as credible.
  • Clean, semantic markup, which is the same thing that makes a site accessible.

Being realistic

What we can and cannot promise

No one can guarantee a position in search results. No one can guarantee that an AI assistant will cite you, and nobody controls which sources these systems choose — they change constantly and without notice. Anyone promising otherwise is guessing or relying on something that will not last.

What can be controlled is concrete: removing the technical reasons a site underperforms, building a structure search engines and AI systems can both read, and making sure your content is clear and accurate enough to be worth quoting. That is the part within anyone’s control, and it is the part that compounds.

Illustrative reporting view — not client data.

Measurement and reporting

  • Search Console set up and actually read, not just installed.
  • Tracking the terms that matter to your business rather than vanity keywords.
  • Watching how the site is described when AI tools are asked about your category.
  • Reporting that says what changed, what was done, and what it means.
  • Honest reporting when something did not work, and what we would try instead.
